This course will discuss various exclusions and limitations of coverage found in today’s Commercial General Liability policy provided for contractors.  The discussion begins with an understanding of court decisions around the country that have decided the definition of “occurrence” within the General Liability policy.  Next, the instructor will provide information about various exclusions and limitations that have been added by most insurance companies to help the agent / broker understand the dangerous language inserted into this coverage by the insurance companies.  The goal is to help the agent / broker be able to make proper marketing decisions as well as proper explanations to the insurance buyer.  This course is appropriate for agency principals, supervisors, sales and service staff.
